Libya: First woman candidate for the presidential elections

Libyan “national movement” party leader Laila Ben Khalifa, submitted her nomination for the presidential elections in Libya.

Ben Khalifa, has turned a page in her nation’s history by becoming the first woman nominee for the presidential elections in a country that has been in chaos largely since the fall in 2011 of Muammar Gaddafi.
