Libya-Lieutenant General Al-Haddad briefs Manfi on security situation at border points with Tunisia and Algeria

Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, Chief of General Staff, met with the Chairman of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al-Manfi, to examine the security situation at the western border points with Tunisia and Algeria. The meeting, held at Manfi’s office in the Presidential Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, likewise addressed the overall security conditions in the West Coast region.

Manfi, accompanied by Assistant Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, received a comprehensive briefing from Al-Haddad. The discussion centred on the activities and responsibilities of the Western Military Region, specifically focusing on security measures to stop smuggling and fight various forms of criminal activity at the Libyan-Tunisian and Libyan-Algerian border points.

Furthermore, specific measures were examined during the meeting, including the assignment of the Army Border Guard Service and the Ministry of Interior to ensure the western border crossings, aiming to strengthen security measures in the region.
