National team: how via SMS, Sébastien Desabre wants to coach Tunisia?

Even with his outstanding performance by the Leopards during the last edition of AFCON 2024, French coach Sébastien Desabre does not desire to continue his adventure with the DR Congo. What will be the direction then? Probably, it could be Tunisia! How so?

This is what the technical consultant of the FTF, Belhassan Mellouche, disclosed and affirmed, voicing the desire of the French coach to take charge of the Eagles of Carthage: “A few minutes after the end of the small final between the DRC and the “South Africa, I received a text message from Desabre notifying me that he wants to become the new coach of Tunisia,” he confirmed.

The record of the former coach of Espérance de Tunis on the Congolese bench, for which he is under contract with FECOFOOT until 2025, reveals a total of 21 matches, in all competitions, crowned with 8 wins, 7 draws and 6 defeats.

Taking into account his short Esperantist adventure (2013-2014, 6v 4n 3d) and the Congolese behind the scenes, Mellouche was not for this alternative, “especially since several Congolese parties have reservations about the quality of his work” .

We then wait… for the name of the next coach!
