South African health officials warned the public about mutations of the new coronavirus strain that could make the virus more transmissible.
In a press briefing, the nation’s top scientists said that it is still too soon to know what the impact on vaccine efficacy will be, adding that there are concerns about some of the mutations resulting in immune evasion.
