One dead, 14 injured in Kansas Super Bowl parade shooting

One person has died and at least 14 were wounded after a shooting that took place during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade near Union Station on Wednesday, CNN reported, quoting Kansas City Fire Department spokesman Michael Hopkins.

Among the 14 injured, three patients were in critical condition, five were seriously injured, with one of the injured patients facing non-threatening injuries. Five additional victims from the event sought medical attention, but it remained unclear whether or not they were gunshot victims.

Police say two armed suspects were apprehended and taken into custody, but no further details were provided regarding their identity.
