One person killed in attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Iran

The head of security for the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran was killed in a shooting on Friday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement. The attack on the embassy resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to two more people.

Unnamed diplomatic sources told the Azerbaijani Press Agency (APA) that the shooter, who used automatic weapons, was arrested and that Iranian authorities started an investigation into the incident.
