Philippines landslide death toll rises to 35

The death toll from a recent landslide in Davao de Oro province of the Philippines surged to 35, with an additional 77 people reported as missing, according to Philippine media company GMA News.

Local authorities disclosed the landslide’s height, ranging between 30 to 50 meters, poses challenges to ongoing search and rescue efforts but that rescue teams persisted in their search on Saturday.
