Putin announces he will run for re-election in 2024

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially announced that he will seek re-election in 2024. The announcement was made during an informal meeting with participants in a ceremony awarding Gold Star medals to Heroes of Russia. Putin’s decision has received unconditional support from the “United Russia” party, with the party expressing its commitment to doing everything possible to ensure his victory.
