Qatari officials are brokering negotiations between Israel and Hamas, AFP reported on Wednesday citing a source familiar with the matter. The terms under discussion include the release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a “one- to two-day ceasefire.”
The report said the negotiations are coordinated with the United States. On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden allegedly asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a similar deal, involving a three-day ceasefire in exchange for 10 to 15 hostages held by Hamas.
