The number of deaths linked to COVID-19 in Russia grew on Saturday to 215,453 after the country observed another record in fatalities registered daily with 968. This is the second consecutive day the nation has seen such a rise.
The figure for infections from coronavirus went up by 29,362 to 7,746,718 in the past 24 hours. That number is the highest since December and the second-highest since the start of the pandemic.
