Russian war against Ukraine: Present situation (Ukrainian Embassy in Tunisia)
SUCCESSES OF UKRAINE’S DEFENCE FORCES
The counteroffensive continues. Ukrainian defenders liberated several important areas in the Donetsk region as well as succeeded in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The destruction of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea continues as well: a drone attack damaged two modern Russian military ships. In the occupied Crimea cruise missiles and drones have destroyed the Russian air defence system Triumph.
FOOD SECURITY
Russia continues to weaponize food. On July 17, 2023, Russia unilaterally withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Initiative and started targeted destruction of Ukraine’s port infrastructure and grain storages.
Russia destroyed at least 270,000 tons of Ukrainian grain.
While African countries suffer from droughts, food shortages and high prices, Russia is intentionally destroying food that could feed millions of people.
Ukraine calls on all states, especially those in Africa and Asia to take joint global action against Russia’s food terrorism.
CONDEMNATION OF TERRORISM
Along with the entire civilized world, Ukraine condemns terrorism – both international and supported by individual countries.
Russia is a state that supports the activities of terrorist organizations, such as the Wagner Private Military Company, worldwide.
The Putin’s regime openly cooperates with terrorist regimes and is ready to share military technologies and weapons of mass destruction with them.
Russia has no place in the community of civilized states. It must be officially recognized as a terrorist state and excluded from influential international organizations.
