President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, welcomed this Thursday, September 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar
The meeting focused on the necessity to complete the diplomatic movement as quickly as possible so that the new ambassadors and consuls could reach their designated posts.
The President of the Republic emphasised the need for each ambassador to operate to represent Tunisia in the best possible way in any capital and to remember at all times that he represents an independent and sovereign state.
He likewise recalled the tasks assigned to consuls and the need to entrust them with the responsibility of easing services to Tunisians living abroad.
On another level, the issue of recovery of looted funds was addressed, through the support of intensive diplomatic work, with all the ministries involved and in coordination with foreign countries, particularly within the framework of international organizations, both global and regional, “because this money goes to the Tunisian people and it is a right which cannot be prescribed”, reads a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
