Tedros warns against ‘vaccine nationalism’

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus cautioned on Friday the panellists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) against “vaccine nationalism” that would make us “all pay the price” of a slowed and uneven recovery.

Tedros urged the nations that have been developing treatments against coronavirus to enter COVAX and encourage the equitable distribution of jabs around the world.

Tedros likewise stressed health was a “fundamental human right” and the “foundation of social, economic, and political stability.”
