The Tunisian National Railway Company reported, on the evening of Friday, December 22, 2023, that a railway accident involving a train and a truck left 16 wounded.
The SNCFT reveals that the accident took place yesterday at 6:45 p.m., between the stations of Smenja and El Fahs, when a truck collided with the train linking Tunis to Kef.
The accident caused 16 minor injuries, all train passengers, who were quickly transferred to the hospital to receive the required first aid.
The SNCFT also informs that it has decided to open an inquiry to reveal the circumstances of the accident and its causes and determine responsibilities accordingly.
Following this accident, the trip continued by bus, notes the SNCFT.
