Tunisia-2024 Finance Bill adopted by parliament

The 2024 Finance Bill has been approved in a plenary session at the parliament, during which a series of new articles were added to the project. These articles were proposed by the Ministry of Finance and the Finance and Budget Commission under the parliament.

One notable article establishes exceptional tariff measures on a list of products imported from Turkey, specifying the application of exceptional customs tariffs on a list of products of Turkish origin over three years.

Another article, addressing tax advantages granted to Tunisians residing abroad and outlining the conditions for their granting, was also adopted.

During this plenary session, the deputies also approved the last article (Article 60) of the draft Finance Law 2024 with 129 votes in favor, 1 vote against, and 9 abstentions. This article concerns the dates of implementation of the provisions of the Finance Law 2024.
