The phenomenon of suicide proceeds to rise in Tunisia, sociologists interpret it in particular by socio-economic pressures, the phenomenon in itself should be the subject of a large-scale national investigation.
According to data declared this Tuesday, January 12 by the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights, in 2020 Tunisia registered 235 suicides and suicide attempts.
The majority of these cases were recorded primarily during the period of general Lockdown observed between March and April, because of the coronavirus crisis.
