The value of donations for the Anti-coronavirus Fund granted as part of a telethon broadcast on Friday morning on the National TV Channel, has reached 4,710.597 Tunisian dinars.
Organised at the initiative of the Independent High Broadcasting Authority (HAICA) under the supervision of the National TV and with the participation of various audiovisual institutions, the telethon will continue till Saturday at dawn.
The amount to be raised will be used to support the efforts of public health institutions in combating Covid-19.
According to HAICA President Nouri Lajmi, this initiative also aims to raise citizens’ awareness about the importance of their role in combating this pandemic through the respect of preventive health measures and recommendations.
