Tunisia-500 coronavirus infections among medical staff, according to Tunisian organization of young doctors

The president of the Tunisian organization of young doctors, Jad Henchiri, stated that as regards the number of coronavirus infections among medical and paramedical staff, they have reached 500, proof of the lack of means of protection, unlike what the Ministry of Health claims.

Jad Henchiri emphasised that the current situation concerning the pandemic is worrying and that the epidemiological situation predicts a difficult development in exchange for a state of neglect and indifference on the part of the authority despite the warnings of specialists.

He stressed that the Ministry of Health should be frank with citizens and abandon the false speech of comfort, especially since most of the Covid-19 circuit in most hospitals is not working because there is has no clear central decision and no funding for the COVID circuit.

Jad Henchiri also said that resuscitation beds are not available.
