On Monday, December 18, 2023, 53 wounded Palestinians were repatriated to Tunisia from Egypt.
A Tunisair plane arrived in Tunis-Carthage in the afternoon, carrying 93 Palestinians, including the injured. Among those repatriated was Imen Khedher, a Tunisian national injured in a Zionist bombing in the Gaza Strip.
Upon their arrival at the airport, the injured were welcomed by Minister of Health Aly Mrabet, Director of the Presidential Office Mustapha Ferjani, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mounir Ben Rjiba, and Palestinian Ambassador to Tunisia Hayel El Fahoum. The repatriation emphasises international efforts to provide assistance and support to those affected by conflicts in the region.
