The Ministry of Commerce has published an awareness video on YouTube, to encourage consumers to avoid wasting bread. About 900,000 baguettes are thrown away daily or 320 million per year.
In that same video, the ministry remarked that the bread costs about 900 million dinars a year in subsidies. Consuming this product in moderation is consequently recommended.
