Tunisia-A math exercise that encourages theft: Ministry of Education clarifies

Internet users shared for some days the picture of a math exercise whose statements stipulate that a boy named Rami who did not possess enough money to buy a gift for Mother’s Day, had stolen certain agricultural products in order to sell them and buy a present for his mother.
The director of the National Pedagogical Center (CNP), Riadh Ben Boubaker, declared that the exercise in question is in an extracurricular textbook. These textbooks are not all subject to the supervision of the ministry, he revealed, acknowledging that it is necessary to put an order in the edition of the extracurricular book and calling on parents to avoid teaching tools not controlled by the state.
