Tunisia-Dr Riadh Daghfous: “So far, no case of the Omicron variant has been recorded in Tunisia”

Speaking to Shems FM,Dr Riadh Daghfous, member of the National Coronavirus Vaccination Committee, confirmed that “so far, no case of the Omicron variant has been registered in Tunisia.

Daghfous additionally indicated that “the sequencing operations of recent positive tests are proceeding. He added that “Tunisia is ready for any development of the epidemiological situation,” indicating that “the Omicron variant has not generated any deaths so far in the world. He further informed that “this new variant is distinguished by its high speed of propagation, superior to that of the Delta.
