The director of the Institut Pasteur Tunis, Hachemi Louzir said on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, that a medical team from the institute under the supervision of Dr Chokri Maarouf has undertaken to manufacture a vaccine against the coronavirus, based on the technology of DNA.
In a statement to Wataniya I television channel, Hachemi Louzir confirmed that this vaccine is still in the preclinical stage, and that it is one of 130 or 140 vaccinations worldwide that have reached this stage.
