Tunisia-Abdlkarim Harouni: Election Law was composed in this way to stop Ennahdha from ruling alone

The chairman of the Shoura Council of the Ennahdha Movement, AbdelKarim Harouni affirmed on Thursday, December 17 that the revolution had managed in realising the political and security goals it had set for itself, but that it did not, nevertheless, succeed in making the required changes economically and socially.
According to Harouni, currently, Tunisia does not need a political dialogue, but a socio-economic dialogue, so that all actors can agree on the reforms that must take place in order to that there be no blockage during the implementation of decisions taken in this context.

Harouni further evoked that the current political regime, which some desire so badly to change, is the result of a constitution drawn up in a democratic manner and have been the subject of a consensus within the Constituent Assembly.

He felt that it still takes time for this regime to bear fruit and that we will have to wait, among other things, for the creation of the Constitutional Court.

Abdelkarim Harouni revealed the break down of the revolution economically to the provisions of the electoral law which replaced the single party with the absence of a single ruling party.

In the same context, he added that since the 2014 elections, supporters of the revolution have retreated in the face of the rise of counter-revolutionaries. The Ennahdha party, therefore, found itself compelled to agree to share power, hence the need to reform the electoral law.

The President of the Republic is the symbol of the unity of the State and should therefore organize periodic meetings with the Head of Government and the President of the parliament , so that there is coordination between the different powers.
