Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, nutritionist Maryam Toukabri presented a set of nutritional recommendations related to Eid Al-Fitr and returning to the normal routine of eating after the month of fasting.
She further underscored that eating sweets should not be for some time and should not exceed the first two or three days beginning from the day of Eid al-Fitr, as eating a lot of soft drinks for a long period may result in the body becoming addicted to sugar, which may generate later weight gain or high blood sugar levels.
Our speaker also advised the necessity of adjusting the sleeping pattern and returning to the normal pattern after the holy month of Ramadan, and also practising physical activities such as walking for at least 30 minutes everyday.
