Speaking at a press conference today, National Salvation Front leader Ahmed Nejib Chebbi declared political party headquarters will be targeted in demonstrations planned for this Sunday, May 8, 2022.
According to him, the President of the Republic Kais Saïed will declare on the same date the dissolution of various political parties and the detention of a number of politicians.
Ahmed Nejib Chebbi condemned, in the same context, the legal proceedings initiated against deputies, reporters, politicians and lawyers pointing to the deterioration of rights and freedoms in the country. He accordingly called on the parties concerned as well as the components of civil society to join their ranks to save the country. Chebbi also called on the armed forces to assume their responsibility and secure party headquarters.
