Tunisia-Al Watad: New Constitution draft is not based on a new socio-economic approach

Al Watad declared in a press release that the draft of the new Constitution has not been formed following a new socio-economic approach capable of breaking with the policies of marginalization and impoverishment.

 

Al Watad said that the lack of mechanisms to control the President of the Republic Kais Saïed, cautioning against his vast prerogatives. “The party rejects to partake in the July 25 referendum which will take place in the absence of the minimum threshold of transparency, fairness and national participation,” the statement read.
