Elected president Kais Saied had a phone conversation with Algeria’s President Abdelkader Bensalah who congratulated him on winning the presidency. He asserted an eagerness to nurture the fraternity and solidarity relationships binding Algeria and Tunisia.
Bensalah, according to an Algerian Presidency of the Republic statement, values that the “plebiscite” that the Tunisian brotherly people have given to Kais Saied “testifies to their maturity and recognition of the significance of this historic national deadline.”
He appreciated Kais Saied for his brotherly feelings towards Algeria and its people, informing him that these feelings are mutual.
