Tunisia-Anniversary of interior security forces

Interior Minister Hicham Mechichi ensured that his department will progress ahead on the pathway of legal and structural reformations to step up efforts intended to improve the security institution, strengthen its working methods, modernise its equipment and infrastructure and give the needed support to the interior security forces.
In a letter to interior security forces on the 64th Anniversary of the creation of this body under the slogan: “Allegiance to the Homeland and loyalty to the Martyrs,” Mechichi stressed the value to increase the quality of administrative security services and improve the citizen’s confidence in the security institution.
The Interior Minister praised on the occasion the total allegiance to the homeland shown by the security forces’ officers and officials at this exceptional circumstance the country is living through. He also applauded their unconditional dedication to serve citizens and protect them from all dangers.
Mechichi called on the interior security forces to step up efforts to combat all forms of crimes, enforce the law, guarantee rights, respect freedoms, serve citizens and protect the national community from all threats.
Besides, he congratulated the security forces on the efforts exerted in the constant fight against terrorism, while paying tribute to the memory of the security institution’s martyrs.
Mechichi pointed out the ministry’s willingness to discharge its duty towards the families of the security institution’s martyrs.
The Interior Minister also congratulated the members of the security forces injured in the war against terrorism, wishing them a prompt recovery.
