Approximately 1.6 million passengers arrived through Enfidha-Hammamet Airport since the marked beginning of 2019 till December 4, announced Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts and Interim Transport Minister René Trabelsi.

Joyfully celebrating the 10th marked anniversary of the grand opening of the Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, Trabelsi informed reporters that 90% of travellers are tourists who have sojourned in hotels in Sousse, Nabeul, Monastir and Mahdia.
The Minister further  emphasised the vital energy of the local airport, traditionally given its geographic position at the crossing of vital roads and main tourist resorts.

He added that airport officials were attempting to lure 2 million tourists in 2020.

He pointed out that various  key stakeholders in the tourism area are operating to accomplish the aim of achieving the milestone of 9 million tourists in 2019, particularly since 8.6 million have entered Tunisia till December 4, 2019.
