Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Former Colonel Major and former spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Khalifa Chibani, stressed that numerous sub-Saharan Africans live without an official identity in Tunisia and that it is likely that some of them came from zones of conflict and terrorism.
