Tunisia- [Audio ]COVID-19 : Situation in Kairouan is alarming

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Kairouan regional director of preventive health care Amara Jemli raised the alarm for the epidemiological situation, stressing the need to adhere to prevention as the sole solution to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

During the regional health meeting that was organized with the participation of Director of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya, the need was highlighted on the necessity of proceeding to inventory the list of those who came in contact with the infected, restricting the visited places, and carrying out wide sterilization operations, in addition to emphasizing the compulsory wearing of masks in shops and closed spaces,Jemli told our news outlet.

He added that a road map was drawn up today to encircle Sidi Saad region as it is the epicentre of the virus outbreak. Our speaker ruled out isolating the region as he stressed the need to coexist with the virus while taking precautionary measures.
