Machrou Tounes MP and President of the National Reform parliamentary group Hsouna Nasfi firmly criticised the work method of PM Elyes Fakhfakh, indicating that the consultation was not based on constitutional grounds neither does it respect the nature of the constitutional relationship between the premiership and the parliament.
Opposition in parliamentary systems are built on programs unlike PM Fakhfakh approach, pointed out Nasfi.
He stressed that PM Fakhfakh flaw lies in determining the parties that will participate in the government consultations based on the election results, something which he believed to contradict the parliamentary system that derives its power from the legislative elections.
He stressed that the national reform belongs to the same family of Qalb Tounes and Free Destourian Party. The policy adopted by PM Fakhfakh aims to divide this family and shatter this convergence though involving Machrouu Tounes, Afek Tounes, Tahya Tounes and al-Badil Ettounsi and exclude Qalb Tounes and the Free Destourian Party, asserted Nasfi. He displayed the existence of a valid fear from this orientation.
Nasfi clarified that the national reform decision has yet to be established especially in light of the changes observed in the political scene. He noted that these shifts might occur in 24 hours.
In this sense, Nasfi concluded that the formation of the government is not based entirely on the vote of confidence from the parliament.
