Tunisia-[Audio] :How could President Saied intervene constitutionally in the face of the exchange of violence in parliament?

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, professor of constitutional law Abdul Razzaq Mokhtar stressed that the president of the republic Kais Saied cannot intervene in the accident involving the exchange of violence at the House of people representatives.

The same source pointed out that the head of the state function is limited to speeches addressed to the nation and meeting with MPs under the framework of his Arbitration effort provided by the constution.

As for direct measures, our interlocutor emphasised that it is one of the duties of the legislative authority itself, and the executive authority does not have the capacities that would permit it to directly intervene in the matter.
