Remarking on the news circulating on social networks on the organization of secret vaccination operations in Manouba, consultant to the municipality of Tebourba Oussama Aouidet called on the health ministry to initiate an inquiry .
Evoking that the regional health director of Manouba Hajer Missaoui declared that it was a white operation, Aouidet told Tunisie Numérique that the white operation is not made with real doses of the vaccine. According to him, the operation is restricted to logistical procedures.
The official added that Hajer Missaoui organized the vaccination operations late at night without any regard for the curfew established in the governorate. Calling the event unacceptable, Aouidet called for enlightening public opinion on the circumstances of the case in question.
Mr Aouidet addressed also the health situation in Tebourba, emphasising that positive indicators have been documented in recent days. “We have been able to subdue the oxygen scarcity crisis thanks to the efforts of regional authorities, regional MPs as well as components of civil society. In addition, there are donations given by Tunisians abroad, ”he said.
Accusing the current government of recklessness, Aouidet commanded the opening of a field hospital in Tebourba given the saturation of the bed occupancy rate of 500% and 600%. Pointing out the lack of social decisions accompanying the prohibitive measures that have been announced, the official warned of possible protests.
