Tunisia- [Audio] Palestine voices unity with Lebanon as Palestinian red crescent move to aid the injured

Vigils have been carried in multiple cities crosswise the world to honour the victims of the fatal explosion in Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, which has left at least 137 people dead and more than 5,000 injured.

Tuesday’s was the most strong explosion to hit a nation that has seen more than its share of damage. Rescuers searched desperately under the rubble, hoping to find survivors.

In an executive interview with Tunisie Numérique, Doctor Imed Halaq  Director of Information in the Palestine red crescent Society in Lebanon said that the organization moved immediately and mobilized all of its medical teams in 5 hospitals affiliated with the Society after the blast.

Upon the instruction of the society president doctor Younes Katib and in coordination with Palestine Ambassador in Lebanon Ashraf Dabour , the society opened the door of donation and enlisted all its capacities from crews and hospitals at the disposal of the Lebanese Red Cross. Moreover, four medial crews moved from Sidon to transport the injured,44 wounded were admitted to Haifa hospital in Borj El Brajneh camp, Doctor Halaq said.

Our speaker pointed out that medical crews are still in the incident site carrying out their duties. Palestinian and Lebanese blood has always shared bonds. Today, they were together for the sake of humanity, he stressed as the world comes together to stand by Lebanon in this tragedy.

Informing our news outlet on the situation of the injured, the same source reassured that most of the injured sustained middle injuries in their hospitals as the last injured was discharged in good health.
