Tunisia-[Audio]:Artists’ union responds to cancellation of year-end festivities

The Scientific Commission to Combat the Coronavirus has chosen to cancel festivities for the celebration of the New Year, something that has disturbed night workers, particularly artists who have launched a campaign called “Sayeb Ellil”.

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, secretary-general of the union of Tunisian professional artists Maher Hammami expressed that these measures are hard for the many night workers., however,  despite the loss, the move is likely to cause, he was persuaded of its benefits.

According to the same source, steps have been taken and payments have been approved for the benefit of this sector, including the rescheduling of debts with the CNSS.Mr Hammami also seized the chance to indicate the lack of responsiveness on the part of the Minister of Cultural Affairs, calling on him to accelerate the implementation of the adopted decisions
