Tunisia-[Audio]:PM Mechichi writes to President Saied asking to fix a date for swearing-in ceremony

Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi stated that no meeting has taken place today with the President of the republic  Kais Saied, adding that on the official plan the latter has not even revealed his reservations about the cabinet reshuffle.

He affirmed that the Head of the state has not yet summoned the new ministers “who have succeeded in obtaining the confidence of MPs”, to take an oath, assuming that this situation will only lead to complicating the economic and health crisis that the country is experiencing at the moment.

Recalling that the reshuffle should be understood within the legal competence of the Prime Minister, Mr Mechichi stated he had written to Kais Saied requesting to set a date for the swearing-in ceremony.
