Frozen MP Bechr Chebbi, apologized in a post on his page published this Sunday, January 16, 2022, for his comments on the governor of Tunis, Kamel Feki and his wife, during the demonstration stand of“Citizens against the Coup d’Etat”.
Chebbi’s speech sparked a wave of anger on the web, described by Internet users as “indecent”, “defamatory” and “sexist” targeting Mrs Sonia Cherbti’s wife Feki. The latter accuses her of having assisted her husband to access his current position. “During my speech yesterday at the meeting to mark the Revolution, I made a statement whose gravity I only became aware of when my colleague Samir Dilou warned me of it and requested me to withdraw it and apologize,” he said.
“I validate once again that noble wars must be fought by noble means, and those who abuse us, our honour and our families… do not represent models for us… I remove this sentence and I apologize “, he added.
