Tunisia-Coronavirus: Minister of Education comments on the possibility of suspending classes

Speaking at the microphone of national radio, the Minister of Education commented on the potential of suspending classes in educational establishments following the worrying upsurge in the number of contaminations in schools. Sellaouti said the option of suspending classes should be ruled out. He likewise returned to the fact of bringing forward the school holidays planned for the month of February, revealing that this does not ensure the end of the spread of the virus.

The minister added that the wave of Covid-19 will reach its peak in the forthcoming days, reassuring parents about the protection of their children’s health. Sellaouti called on them to trust the decisions of the scientific committee demanding compliance with the health protocol and the barrier rules.
The official, in the same vein, reported that the ministry is aiming to make 4 million masks available to students and teaching staff to protect themselves.
