Human rights activist and former MP Bochra Belhadj Hamida posted a tweet on Monday, September 28, 2020, in response to the controversy caused by a statute released by MP Faycel Tebbini last night. Bel Hadj Hamida considered that Tebbini’s post is not an attack on her person but on all women victims of sexual violence, regardless of their age or the degree of their beauty.
“Tebini’s post is not an attack on me but on all women victims of sexual violence who are neither beautiful nor young,” the tweet read.
Recall that yesterday, MP Faycel Tebbini attacked the feminist activist because of her position against the death penalty. In this sense, he felt that Bel Hadj Hamida is against the death penalty because she does not risk being raped since no one sees her as a woman to want to rape her.
