Prime minister Najla Bouden presided over the meeting of the National Organizing Committee of the 18th Francophonie Summit that will be held in Djerba this November and the eighth edition of the Tokyo International Conference for Development in Africa-TICAD 8 that will be held in Tunis on 27 and August 28.
On this occasion, Bouden called on all ministries, structures and organizations implicated in the participation and organization to redouble their efforts so that Tunisia is completely prepared to secure the success of these two international events, which are of significant importance for Tunisia. The meeting was likewise committed to examining the progress of the preparations for these two events in terms of logistics and organization.
During this meeting, the Head of Government emphasised the necessity to stimulate the finalization of the requirements related to the conclusion of contracts, the development of specifications related to investments, the provision of the required spaces and requirements, intensification coordination and consultation with the Japanese side as well as the suggestion of projects by different ministries in the priority areas to be presented during the economic forum which will be held on the sidelines of TICAD 8. Likewise, Bouden revealed that these occasions are chances for cooperation, exchanges and the benefit of a partnership with Japan and African countries, as well as with the nations that make up the French-speaking world, in a way that contributes to support Tunisia during this exceptional period and to achieve economic growth based on its natural capacities and national skills.
