The Ministry of Health declared that as of August 30, 2020, 118 more coronavirus infections have been recorded. The death tally on its part rose to 77 after reporting one new death.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 1848 tests carried out, including 68 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 118 tests were positive. These include 109 domestic cases, 9 imported cases and 19 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2602 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 549 imported cases, 2031 local cases and 27 deaths.
51 patients are currently hospitalized, including 17 cases admitted to the intensive care unit.
