The Ministry of Health announced that as of August 27, 2020, 138 more coronavirus infections have been registered. The report revealed one death , bringing the death tally to 74 since the start of the pandemic.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 2997 tests carried out, including 28 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 138 tests were positive. These include 126 domestic cases, 9 imported cases and 12 cases already carrying the virus, in addition, to three cases under inquiry.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2260 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 521 imported cases, 1731 local cases and 24 deaths.
54 patients are currently hospitalized, including 12 cases admitted to intensive care.
