The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that as of August 23, 2020, 75 more coronavirus infections have been recorded. The death toll is stable at 71.
In its daily bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 1461 tests carried out, including 47 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 75 tests were positive. These include 66 domestic cases, 9 imported cases and 21 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 1692 cases of coronavirus infections have been recorded, including 493 imported cases, 1198 local cases and 21 deaths.
41 patients are currently hospitalized, including 11 cases admitted to intensive care.
