The Ministry of Health declared as September 1, 2020, 233 more coronavirus infections have been recorded. The death tally on its part rose to 81 after reporting one new death.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 1905 tests carried out, including 32 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 233 tests were positive. These include 225 domestic cases, 8 imported cases and 34 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2995 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 560 imported cases, 2410 local cases and 31 deaths.
64 patients are currently hospitalized, including 20 cases admitted to the intensive care unit.
