There have been 2169 new cases of the coronavirus on April 19, data from the health ministry showed on Tuesday. The total number of infections stood at 289,230.
Meanwhile, fatalities increased by 93 in the same period. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic was reported at 9918.
According to the Ministry of Health, public and private hospitals are currently treating 2472 people with the coronavirus, 483 people in intensive care units and 149 patients on oxygen
