In a statement to Tunisie Numérique,MP Adel Diaf, Chairman of the Defense, Security and Armed Forces Committee, noted that a parliamentary delegation moved today, Friday, to the delegations of Jebniana and Al-Amra in Sfax.
Diaf clarified that the visit comes within the framework of the committee’s work and will be dedicated to exploring the crisis of irregular migrants, revealing that this visit has been programmed to closely examine the reasons for this crisis, as well as to review the conditions in the delegations of Jebniana and Al-Amra, which are suffering from the crisis of irregular immigrants.
The representative underlined that the solution to the problem of sub-Saharan Africans is not only Tunisian, adding, “An unprecedented influx of sub-Saharan Africans… the situation jeopardises national security… and the solution is not only Tunisian but regional and international. It must be part of the solution.”
He explained in an interview that the parliamentary delegation travelled to see the truth of the situation on the ground and to listen to the citizens, in addition to identifying the security problems that exist in both Al-Amra and Jebniana, as well as the reasons for the spread of crime in several areas in these two delegations.
