Tunisia-Tunisia celebrates 68th anniversary of Foreign Ministry

Tunisia celebrates on May 3, 2024, the National Day of Diplomacy, marking the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Diplomacy is committed to the protection of supreme national interests, defending Tunisians abroad, providing them with optimal services, and raising the national flag in various forums, reflecting the prestigious position that our country enjoys in its regional and international environment, while consistently adhering to the principle of national sovereignty and independence of national decision, reads a press release from the foreign ministry.

Tunisian diplomacy has succeeded in consolidating the foundations of independence and supporting national development efforts by establishing a network of strong and diversified cooperation and partnership relations with brotherly and friendly countries and regional groupings.

Successive generations of Tunisian diplomats have continued the endeavor to preserve Tunisia’s sovereignty, strengthen the foundations of its independence, and defend just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.

On this occasion, the Ministry renews its appreciation for the sustained efforts of all its officilas and staff, both at the central administration and abroad, and encourages them to continue their efforts for the good of our country and the well-being of our people,adds the same source.
