Tunisia- Challenge One laucnh: Kais Saied would have refused Mechichi and Ghannouchi attendance at ceremony

Ennahdha member Rafik Abdessalem criticized the absence of a formal celebration of Independence Day by the President of the Republic “due to the weather in Kazakhstan,” qualifying the behaviour as childish.

In a Facebook post, Abdessalem additionally evoked that Saied has not previously celebrated Revolution Day, which confirms that he does not recognize Tunisia’s independence or its revolution.

Remarking on the launch of Tunisia’s first “Challenge One” satellite, he said Kais Saied refused to enable Hichem Mechichi and Rached Ghannouchi to attend the ceremony, naming the attitude “childish”.

In the same context, Abdessalem estimated that the President of the Republic took the chance to show that he is the only one who commands, adding that the occasion was an opportunity for the Head of State to provoke hatred against politicians.

“Does he not realize that he is located in the first political position and that he is further in charge of the political affairs of the country? He wondered.
